Initial Public Listing of CentralPower and TrustPower, New Zealand

Morrison & Co was involved with the initial public listing of CentralPower and TrustPower, both electricity distribution companies. The assignment included:

• Preparation of the prospectus and amendments to Articles of Association;
• Consideration of strategic ownership issues e.g. cornerstone shareholders, corporate defence;
• Implementation issues: share trading provisions, entitlement trading provisions, flotation timetable, listing requirements;
• Public relations and investor relations issues; and
• Organising the underwriting for the issues and appointing brokers.
